"Green-ovate" your small business with a  Georgia Green Loan!

Partners and Funders


Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc. (ACE), founded Georgia Green Loans in 2008 to help small Georgia businesses "green-ovate." Due to the growing importance of green business practices and industry opportunities, CEO and President Grace Fricks decided to make the program available beyond the 34 North Georgia counties generally served by ACE. ACE provides Green Loans in North Georgia and Metro Atlanta, and the U.S. Small Business Administration has provided the first round of investment. Other lending partners are providing Green Loans in the remainder of the state.


U.S. Small Business Administration U.S. Small Business Administration provides loan funds to intermediaries through its Microloan Program. Loans up to $35,000 can be used for all business purposes. SBA size and business type restrictions apply. Albany Community Together, Inc. Albany Community Together, Inc. is providing Green Loans in southwest Georgia counties. ACT! promotes economic development through small business lending and technical assistance.
Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) provides Green Loans in southeast Georgia, along with other loan programs and technical assistance. Georgia Organics Georgia Organics, a member-based organization, promotes the integration of locally grown, healthy and sustainable food into the lives of all Georgia residents.
Georgia Department of Agriculture Georgia Department of Agriculture - a regulatory resource that, among other things, promotes Georgia-grown and raised agricultural products. Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc. Appalachian Community Enterprises, Inc. is the driving force behind Georgia green loans. Established in 1998, ACE's mission is to provide loans, education and support to small businesses seeking to start and grow into today's economy.
